Medjool dates health aspects

ISRAEL INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY (TECHNION) RESEARCH ON MEDJOOL DATE
Following past studies in Israel Institute of Technology (Technion) on the effect of pomegranate, olive oil and red wine in decreasing various health risks, the researchers have proceeded to another blessed fruit from the Seven Species – the date.
The study was performed on Medjool and Halawi date. The main findings of the study are that eating 100gr date per day for a month:

  • Did not cause any increase of weight or blood sugar levels
  • Caused a significant decrease of about 15% of blood triglycerides
  • Caused a decrease of fat oxidation levels in the blood
